Default 4-stroke Valve Shim Calculator (Excel)

I have had these located on the portal for literally years, and for some reason no one knows they are there, so I'm moving them here.

See attached: 4-Stroke_Valve_Shim_Calculator_Instructions.doc & 4-Stroke_Valve_Shim_Calculator_Rev2.xls

These two documents make figuring out what shim you need to get your valves back in to spec. a breeze.

Hopefully these will get a little more exposure and help more peeps.

I just downloaded it again to see if I could duplicate what you are seeing, and I'm having trouble getting to not work.

Can you be more specific about what isn't working? You enter a value in the yellow field and hit enter, and it simply changes back or it won't let you type in it at all?

What version of Excel are you using? It almost sounds like you don't have excel, but maybe just a viewer?

If you want you can download openOffice which will open it and let you use it.

www: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

It's free.

You can say that again. Once you've done it a couple of times, you really don't need it, but I can tell you when I first started shimming, this thing was a gift from above.

still in use? That usually means you still have it open.

I think the quad has the same valve specs as the bike so yes it would work just fine.
