Back a long time ago, in Dist 37 desert racing, Rich Thorwaldson (TM400) would have beat JN Roberts (360 Husky) a bunch of times if he would only have been on the Husky.
Sorry but that TM400 was the most ill-handling dirt bike ever.
I spent many times watching Thorwaldson race and was always astounded at how well he did on that "dance to the moon" bike.
Have to say many times he saved it only by wide open throttle. That thing would swap 45 deg's and Rich would only give it more throttle and about the 3rd swap it would straighten out.
I was a spectator and it terrified me.

I would like to have one….only in a museum.

My friend had one a few years back for ahrma mx and he said it would snap a piston rod on a minute. I thought the YZ490 I just got rid of was the most evil and dangerous thing out there.
