Default new project bike! 1982 YZ80j

first question!
Do you know of any after market plastic that fits?

Second,
have you an owners manual or service manual for the critter? (will pay you to scan one into pdf!)

Third,
Can the rear shock be rebuilt?

Fourth,
I could use a magneto cover.

Thanks!

Try dcvmx. They offer plastic kits.

You may be better off finding oem plastics on ebay and polishing them. Lots of parts there, manuals too. The shock can be rebuilt, if you can find the parts.

That's a good site for parts. A buddy of mine got a YZ 80J as next project right after we finished installing the new brake kit and nitto tires on his current Raptor project. He got the front shock for the bike from Ebay, used but still looks good.

I've had a lot of success finding PDF manuals by searching Google, and when that fails tradebit almost always has something for a small fee.
