Default Mid-Ohio Vintage Days 08 Anyone?

2 weeks to go. Any ATM'rs going? This will be my first trip to "The Big One". 400 vintage MX entries for Saturday. 40 acre swap-meet. Bike auction, Road racing, PV MX, Cross Country, Trials.......I think Triumph (?) is the featured brand this year. It's gonna be overload!

Ok Now would be a good time to go.

I'm not really working & you aren't , Mikey is retired so.

I just don't know if there is enough time to plan it for this year, I think it's next week

Well, how about it? Anyone? We arrive Friday AM. I'm easy to find. Just look for all the Hodaka's in the off-road pit.

Well, I'm back!!!

This weekend is way up there on my "all time" list. Can't really put into words how big and awsome it is. A couple hundred acres of pits/camping. Swap meet? 40 acres maybe. And I didn't really get to see/experiance it all. Forgot my camera (Ok, ok. "This thread is worthless without....")

Picked up another project bike. 1978 RM125 roller. Found some plastic, nice tank, handlebars and pipe at the swap too. Great prices!

As for the race report........I survived a "watered-the-track-before-my-moto-crash-fest" in moto 1. Ran real well towards the front, but a lack of training caught up to me on the last lap and a couple got by. Finished 5th.

2nd moto.......Gated much better. Everyone seemed to push out wide, I duck for the inside, start grabbing gears on the Mighty Rat, look up.....and I see 2 black stripes in front of me. I'm leading the Intermediates! But, it was dry-slick and I started working my way BACK shortly before the first lap was over. Sigh..... Finished 7th out of 15-16ish for the 5th place plaque. I'll take it!

The "Kewl List"
1. Tom White annoucing the races and a sweet young thing 2 minute gurl. Just like the big time.
2. Billy Lyles and Herbert Schmidt on the track. FAST guys.
3. Tony D signing my plaque. Sweet.
4. Hanging out with The Nut Bros and the whole Hodaka Fun Bunch. Always good.
5. Every favorite bike on your list riding around and for sale in the swap area. And a bunch of bikes I had no idea what brand they were. Awsome!
6. Non-stop road racing through the day as a back-drop.

ANYONE with a vintage addiction needs to make it to this event. It can't be put into words how cool it is.

Oh, and they talked about next year being a Trans Am Reunion. I'm there!
