88 husky 250WR engine rebuild, need husky expert advice

the 88 husky needs a new rod, crank pin, bottom rod bearing, and piston kit. problem is apperently no one any where seells a piston kit for this bike and they want $300 for a costum made rod kit!!! i'm to poor for that. i only bought this bike because it was cheap. i'm planning on trying to match up a jap bike rod and piston combination to this bike. wiseco gives all measuements for the rods and bearings they sell. and some suzuki's have the same stroke. i can rebuild an engine top to bottom, but thats just putting it together, i really don't know all that technical stuff...any advise on how to do this would help thanks

iv'e been to all husky sites. i'm really wanting to convert this to a Jap. rod and piston setup for convenant and cheap maintnace. any advice on converting it would be great
