1980 Suzuki RS 250 Retore or Sell

Hey all.
I am a newbie so thanks for the patience.
I have a 95% complete 1980 rs 250. I need a coil.
Any tips on where I might get this or if any other applications will fit.

Or, since buying this bike I have realized how rare it is and would also sell it whole for $200.00 or ask about parts.

You can probably use a coil from an RM or PE with no problems. Can you pm me and send a pic?

The RS is fairly rare but not really collectable unless it's all in one piece, I hate to see complete bikes parted out, they don't make them anymore. It's basically a PE, would be worth restoring, about any Suzuki dirtbike coil would work, check this site for part numbers.

Dale I too have just bought a 1980 suzuki rs250. Seems no one in tenn. have heard of them. Just bought a rear fender from Vintage-suzuki for a rm250 and it fit perfectly.need light and bracket now and it will look like new.

What year model rear fender did you buy? I need one for a '79 PE175 that I am rebuilding but I was thinking about a RM fender instead of a PE fender.

Try a cheap same year RM125 fender off eBay. I have an 82 125 piece on my 82 PE and it even bolts to the bottom of the seat correctly.

What rear fender did you get for a rm that will fit ?what year ? I have a 1980 RS 250 T that I will take some pixs . I have done some resto work on it motor rebuild paint tires ect now I need some plastic ?
