Default New Server Move is Complete

Ok, I'm very happy to report that we are on a new server that is pretty sweet. I'd be surprised if you don't notice a bit of a speed increase (page load times, and just more responsive).

Hopefully this one proves to be a lot more reliable. Though the ratings for our host are very good, so I'm sure we'll be good to go for a long time.

Hopefully, this weekend I'll get the chance to upgrade the forums as well. Lots of changes when that happens.

Hopefully, it all goes as well as the move did... although I had to do it twice due to some technical difficulties...

Gracias.

The server stats for those that care and even know what this means are the following. The biggest improvement being in the disk configuration.

i7 870, 8gb ram, 4x 1TB w/ raid 10

We went from a Q9550 proc to the i7 870 -- I consider this to be better, but not a huge improvement.

We had 8gb of ram before and it was plenty.

The move from Raid 1 to Raid 10 however is proving to be quite a bit better for I/O.

SATA -- Scsi was doable, but the price to get bigger disks was not. I wanted space. I got lots of space.
