Default YZ85 Painting Frame

Hey everyone.. I have an 05 yz85 and I'm looking for the cheapest route to paint my bike frame... I have a sand blaster at my school so getting rid of the old paint wont be a problem. Do you think I could just leave it the colour of the steel? or would the frame still get worn out and look bad again? Should I use automotive grade primer, paint and clear coat to paint it? Thanks everyone in advance.

Use self etching primer and the several good coats of what ever paint you want to use.

It will not last as long as powder coating, but it will last a while.
