Default Yamaha Parts?

Where do you other Yamaha owners get your OEM parts..like if you needed a Cylinder or something of that nature. Like for a Honda you have Service Honda in all my cases were cheaper than partsfish, etc.

Who sells decently priced OEM parts for Yamaha's?

I've picked up some parts from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Most of the time I've found that the dealers price is the same as what you'll find online.

Y.O.T and Southeastern Illinois Yamaha, local dealer

Matt,
Depending on what I need for O.E.M. parts I shop out Yamaha of Troy, SE Illinois Yamaha (friend from TT owns this one Yamaben) and the local dealers. I'll even use John's Suzuki dealer if he can get something fast. Service Honda did us bad a few years ago and have not been back. With the internet any dealer can get O.E.M parts for any brand if they want to. The Yamaha dealer here is okay but they don't cater to dirt bikes. They will get parts but sometimes it is slow.

Yamaha of Troy has done well by me. I have been discounted at times and they ship fast. I can talk to the parts guy on the phone 6 days a week and of course order anytime on the internet. GYTR parts are plentiful there. Same for SEI Yamaha parts.

I try to support local dealers but sometimes they aren't in to getting dirt bike parts quick or reasonably priced. It take some talking to get them on board. I guess it depends on the weather and how I hold my mouth.:

YOT's web prices are retail OEM...no discount. They advertise discounted prices but won't respond to email questions.

Here's a site that does offer discounted pricing (up to 30% off) on OEM parts:

partswarehouse.com

I've used [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] all year for our Yamaha and Suzuki and am very pleased. The people taking orders are knowledgeable and very prompt. I've placed orders with LOTs of little parts and never had a problem.... I'm waiting on some to come in as we speak.

Just my experience

Budlite,
I was just expressing my personal experience with Y.O.T. I got some discoounts on large orders and I checked on them with the local and Partsfish prices so it was a discount, and that takes the shipping into consideration. They do a lot of GYTR clearance sales and I have gotten some deals there.

Sorry if you had bad experiences. I'll check out the site you posted. I am always ready for a new parts source. Thanks for the input and opinions, we need diversity here.

What I'm saying about YOT is that the prices from their micro fische on their webb site reflect full retail prices while their ads in magazines reflect about a 30% discount. If you want to purchase from them then call them and make sure of the price. I would imagine that the price would be the advertised one not the full retail price. This makes me wonder why have the ability to order from them over the internet ? I don't know about you but I'm not willing to buy a YZ radiator for $300 when I can buy it for $200. Big difference. I also having the ability to place orders on Sunday night over the internet. Parts get broken on Sunday !! that's my two cents

PS I found the address for Partswarehouse in the ads for MXaction magazine. First time in years I've found anything of any value in MXA. That's another thread though.

Andy no problem my friend..I found that out earlier..I pulled the carb off and reed block off and saw that..I did put a light film of HondaBond on it though to play it safe. The reeds ARE shutting all the way. Sealing just fine so.

I was kinda happy and kinda aggravated about that at the same time..hoping they were hanging open and causing my low compression but thats not the case.
