| ok when i bought my used bike there were wire ties on the spokes where they crossover, since then i just relaced my wheel last night and was wondering what those ties do to help and if i should do it. |

| i moved this thread from the Health and Fitness forum to get you more exposure. The tying of the spokes has been used for ages to help give the spokes more support. Also, if you break a spoke, it will keep it from playing havoc on the rest of your wheel or brake system. |

| pretty good idea, i saw a kid that had a banshee that had some real big ones on his lugs, he said they can help keep some of the dirt out of the wheel when it spins, they smack on and off they wheel knocking it off. i never wanted to try it cause it looked corney LOL |
