When did the AMA do away with the provisional?? Poto is leading the points and thru bad luck end up missing the main, that's what the provisional was for. Damn, spotting the boys 25 points, and still leading the points. Still hoping Poto can pull it off.

Dude who cares Poto not qualifying = Great series tight points chase fans win! You look at the top 5 they are all now within 35 points and if 1st is 25 you do the math.... someone gets hot they will win the title.

Thanks

Yep, the fans are getting their moneys worth this year, let's hope their all tied for points going into Vegas, i'd get on a plane for that one. Some stats about JS this year, He's in a full "Mental Meltdown" Why?
Ok so that's 5 crashes in 6 races or something?
His season unraveled quickly this year, after looking sharp when the season first started out.

Just in the last month and a half:

JS crashes in all rounds 'cept one since the east side started

Malcolm begins racing, THEN
LB is fired,
Reed STUFFS him at ATL,
then it's
crash, crash, crash...DNF
coincidence?

JS results prior to MS racing...
3,1,2,1,1
3 wins, avg finish 1.6 in five races

then the East series starts, and Malcolm begins..
JS finishes
15,3,4,9,2,20
0 wins, avg finish 8.9 in six races

Malcolm must be a distraction, maybe to much partying!

After round 11, CR cuts RV's points lead to 7, almost cut it to 4 but HowdyDoody held off CR22 for his 2nd win.

Reed is looking SOLID this time of year.

Howdy Doody...THAT is funny!! But I gotta say, Canard has some heart and rode a bit wild on the last two laps to keep Reed behind him. After Reed passed him he could have laid a whippin on Reed when he left the door open in that corner and he didn't, just some light rubbin. I like the fact he raced to win but didn't clean Reed out and even if he is on a Honda, he has a new fan.

Been watching Trey for some sense last year. He's very impressive. And I really like his demeanor too.

I took a few pictures of him at Washougal as he was jumping over the top of the hill. This kid looked right into the camera as he was flying by. I swear he was trying to get as close as possible.

Simple question, dood. When did they do away with the provisional? Probably right after RC retired.

Thanks

I remember that provision but I don't recall the AMA ever removing it either. The only reason a points leader used to run the heats was for gate pick.

I do remember RC having that option and even McGrath... but not recently.

thanks

You see Stewie take out Poto? Kind of makes me wonder what people are thinking that Reed is a dirty rider... so is Stewie dirty now too?

I think it has so much more to do with when he is not leading he actually needs to learn not to be STUPID. Little brother has the same issue, behind = ride over my head till I crash or get the lead.

now we are talking 4 riders within 21 points .... wow and the winner again is US the public. I have tickets to SLC and Vegas and MAN oh MAN what an ending this is going to be!

From what I remember, the provisional went away for the 2009 season.
