| motorcycle-brokers... Im seriously thinking of going this route if what the guy says is true, no tax or other fees, just shipping? Also, he talks about getting a title and everything to register in your state, do you HAVE to register, I never registered any of my bikes... | I haven't bought from this guy, but I know a few people who have ordered bikes from Canada, it's a great deal, usually a thousand or so less than we pay, no tax, cheap shipping, etc. It's pretty much a no-brainer. The only drawback is that you can't collect contingency money at races. Sometimes the Canadian bikes come with diff tires, some of the Yamahas I've seen come through with a racer support package(top end gaskets, silencer packing, and some other usefull stuff like a clip on mullett). I would have bought my CRF250 from Canada if they could have supplied one. |

hell, if thats the only drawback, i dont have anything to worry about! woohoo! you just gotta make sure about those things that seem too good to be true ya know, what are diff tires? do they suck?

I am getting my 250(possibly f or 2 smoke), from them next year. Throw in oil, gas and front wheel and your riding! Usually its only 200 bucks shipping, and you just hafta pick it up. Spanks from dirtbike.com got his 2002 kx250 from them for 3799.

my cousins '03 CRF450 came with Pirellis on it, still good, just different. He paid $5420 delivered to LA. The local dealer in Long Beach wanted almost $8000 with tax, freight, and prep.

I buy my bikes in Canada, but the benefit is getting less and less. The US dollar has really taken a dump in the last year. It has gone from and exchange rate of 1.52(last yr) to 1.28(yesterday). Last yr my YZF was $5025...this yr it would be almost $6000. But my dealer in London Ontario is absolutely awsome so I continue to support him. You are right about the contigency. AMA and FormulaUSA won't pay on a Canadian model which really sucks as there are several Canadians racing the series.
