Where to start??

Last weekend I was in Houston with my new team. We won the 750 Main event. Big Maico, Howard, showed up to say hi and take in the racing.
I haven't seen Howard for almost 2 years. Last time was when I was running the Waco Amateur Nationals. We spent the better part of the night talking when I wasn't busy with the race bikes. Before he left he gave a copy of the GMB DVDs.
I have been a member of ATM since the beginning, one of the first 20 members I think. I have long known the story behind Garrett and TT and ATM. I have read Mike's post and those of other's speaking of Garrett's memory. As I did not know him personally, I never really felt a connection, other than this big family of those that did.
I have met several of you in person and more of you on these boards. You have all become good friends.
Last year, Jim(Motoman) and I made plans to go to Splendora together. A last minute race committment kept me from making the trip.
Anyway, back to the video's....
I watched them both...several times. Now I would have gladly given up that Supermotard Podium to have made the trip to Texas.
I have often described myself as the "grumpy old man"..."tuff as nails"...etc, etc.
All I can say is that I will make every effort to make GMB this year...I don't want to miss it again....Tdub

T, now you know alittle more of what we feel. The first time I watched the 1st video Zoot did with my youngest girl it was to much. I seen a tear swell up in the corner of her eye and I lost it. Looking forward.........fast forward to meeting you and sharing some great times. Be ready to ride alot of bikes too!
