Hey does anyone know where Jim is? I haven't seen him posting much at all. Didn't know if someone knew what is up or not.

Pretty good, we had two of them actually. For the past few years we have been deep-frying our turkey...and it is GOOD!

How about you Matt?

We have been deep frying turkey for the last few years to and man is it GOOOOOOD. Doesn't take near as long as the oven does and it taste better IMO. You would think the inside of the turk turk would be all greasy but its not at all greasy. Mine Thanksgiving was good BTW and what made it better was I rode to

I agree Matt...that df turkey is the bomb

1. Cooks in under an hour
2. Not greasy AT ALL
3. VERY moist and tasty

We just rub it down with some bbq rub and throw it in the 360 degree oil. Our secret trick...add a container full of butter-flavored crisco to the frying oil

Oh man...I am getting hunrgy.

he's still here. thanksgiving is just a buys family time. i'll bet he had to head out to the grandparents.

and deep fried turkey rocks.
yesterday we had out annual dat after thanksgiving seafood day. we ate a bushel of fresh oysters, and fired a few pounds of flounder, a few pounds of awesome scallops, clams, and a couple mason jars of preshucked oysters.
the fried oysters were the best i have ever had. they were jucy and super salty inside, with the light golden brown breading outside, MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

man it was good

Oh man YP....I am coming to your house for Thanksgiving next year.

Racer...it is a huge stock pot that goes on top of a burner attached to a propane tank. Check home depot or other places that sell bbq grills.

My gosh, you are gone for a couple days and all of a sudden the world falls apart without you.

I am still here, as was said in earlier posts, I have been very busy with life lately. I am on here 2-5 times a day, I just haven't had the time to post much.

As for the fried Turkey, that stuff IS the bomb.

My wife makes something called Brocolli caserole, that stuff is unreal, I know what most of you are thinking, brocolli??? Gross dude!! That's the same thing I said about 10 years ago, now I can't get enough of the stuff, and neither can anyone who has ever tried it.

Have no fear, I will be back to normal soon.

Glad your around Jim.

BTW your not the only one that loves Brocoli Casserole..I LOVE IT!...my mom makes one killer brocoli casserole...MMMMMMMMMMMMM.....Another thing you guys need to try if you haven't already is "Sweet Potato Casserole"....that stuff is so good I can't even begin to explain how good it is...you cook sweet potatos..mash them up and then you put it in a pot and put a topping over it..I am not sure what all is in the topping but I do know that is has brown sugar and chopped up pecans on it....you might be thinking "pecans with sweet potatos?"....well you HAVE to try it. I will try to get the recipe a little later...I am sure if you have a cook book around it will be in there..just make sure you do one that has brown sugar and pecans in the topping.

Seems like you guys up north have been with held from the good southern cooking! Those things have been staple around our part for years and I can't remember a Thanksgiving without the sweet potato casserole.

String bean casserole rocks too. Btw, I love broccoli, too bad I am the only one in my family who does. Either my eating habits are extremely weird, or very normal. I love beans, from string beans to baked beans, like broccoli, and get this, I actually like cafeteria food...Now thats odd, ya just have to watch out for things like mashed potatos and such...
