I have the craftsmen digitorque. It gos down to 25ft lbs so it may not be the best for dirtbikes. I got a cheaper one for working on the bikes and when i get home i'll see what it is.

Oooo, a digital one would be sweet blue. I have drooled over those in Sears many times. I have one of the kind that pops and a meter. The meter type are nice when you don't have a manual and you need to know what the torque is when you loosen a bolt. But for all other situations the pop type is alot nicer IMO.

Yeah i want the break-away type, where after the torque is reached, it just goes limp you could say.

all the case bolts that are 8mm heads are only 8ft/lbs. get a smaller one that is calibrated in inch pounds.

50$ isn't bad at all. Does it go down to 8ft/lbs like yardpro mentioned?

Yep the 1/4" drive will measure in inch pounds I believe. Blue, that is really cool man. Those suckers run around $90 new!!

yep the 1/4' ones do. i never use a torque wrench in the bigger bolts ( except head bolts). i just crank em tight. the small ones are easy to strip, so if you're new to wrenching then use the smaller torque wrench. after a while you will develop a feel for when the bolt starts to stretch.
