Sweet bike! Actually really liked the 09 for what it was....
I've ride and wrenched on one and they're awesome! Arguably one of the 'better' Yz 450 ( besides the new generation ones ). Dial it in and ride... Without.... "Cough" "cough" falling "wheeze" off!!! lol

Did the seller take barkbusters off or just lay the throttle on the ground?

Yeah I took em off actually. It needed doing as did a few other things to clean it up. They were RED for starters and painted red at that. All the stickers come off and the leftover dirt. Sometimes buying used bikes feels like a rescue mission. I'm actually saving unused bikes from neglectful owners. Guy was a beginner dirt rider but a seasoned streeter with an Aprilia in the garage that was super clean and obviously his "baby" and this one was just put away dirty. He admittedly prefers street riding and only bought it to ride with his buddys and had his *** handed to him so he just let it sit.
I got a pretty good deal @ 2K so that leaves me room for all the things I will no doubt be buying for it. Got my feet wet with the 250F teardown wise, so I aint skeerd of rippin into this one. So far, it starts with one kick cold, two kicks hot but yet I just tooled around in a field by my house. Pulls wheelies pretty easy and shock linkage is nice and tight. Feel like a real nice scoot maybe ill wind up a four stroker after all, but I ain't putting my YZ up for sale just yet..

I've got the deep blue sea going here..

Well, after a few rides I can say dayum! 450's sure have a lot of pulling power! I kind of like being able to go through sweepers and my rear end isn't sliding and stepping out like my YZ does. This thing feels almost like cheating its so easy. I'm a die hard pinger and this is my first big mx thumper so now I know why you guys like em.

Oh yeah and my son took it for a few laps and said "thanks for the bike dad now go get yourself one!"

Here he is testing it out

Well it would be YOU who took that one and also making my point, I was much higher than it looks in the pic.
and that would have to be your fault.
