Default Washing your bike!!!

Just to ask and maybe a tip for some of you!!!
How many of you guys/gals take off the seat when powerwashing your bike after a good dirt bath!!! I always take off my seat and wash it separatly with a sponge. Even between motos. The foam of the seat and water aren't the best of friends. If you wash your bike with the seat on, your foam will become much softer then otherwise.
Just wanted to share!!

Why would you want a hard seat. I would do that on purpose so it is soft.

If you take the seat off, make sure you don't get water on the filter or into your carb. Cover your filter.

Well if you take the seat off when you ride then it will train you not to sit down! Oh thats right most of you are motocrossers and sit down more often than us desert dudes and dudettes!

No, we only LOOK like we are sitting down. I bet if we had to race for THREE HOURS we would

Actually DBD, standing up is the key to go fast!!!! Just tight corners are for sitting down!!

First, Frakke is correct, standing is key to going fast, you should stand whenever possible.

On the "cover your filter" issue, I use a wal-mart bag and tuck it in around my filter before every wash, just don't forget to take it off before trying to start it.
