Very strange idle...help

Well i got a crf150r the other day...its runs great! But theres this one weird thing about it it will idle like its sappose to then when u rev it...it will go to a higher idle (when u let of the gas it stays at a higher idle) then if u put it in gear and ease out in the gear it will drop back down to normal idle? Its really iratating! So idk wat to do?! im running 89 pump gas with standard jetting..But the manual says i need to lower the main to a 132 for where i ride...stocks 135...hmmm it also says to run 91 octane or higher gas? so idk any help would be great

Have you adjusted the idle screw? If it was a race bike then normally the idle screw would be adjusted higher to try and prevent stalling, if it was dropped. It is normally a big screw with a black turning knob on it. Just turn it down when you have it at idle.

The main really has nothing to do with idle but when jetting, ignore the manual and read the plug. Your problem could be a misadjusted or faulty TPS (I think the 150 has one) but it could be as simple as the octane. Try the recommended octane, first.

ok i got the idle perfect it was where the tps wants it at exactally 100rpm to idle right so me and my dad tinkerd wit it and got it right where it was sappose to go and idles just fine

Ummm....100 rpm is highly unlikely.

Hahaha sorry i mis-read the manual lol. Its 2100 +\- 100 rpm ....gah it still dont wanna idle....Hmmm is that pretty high? 2100? Because if i have it a very low idle it wont do that(idle fine then rev it and go higher and not go down till i ease out on the clutch) And it just dies at that idle and dont wanna start unless you give it gas at that idle...so idk

sounds simple but is the throttle tube returning properly?? or is the cable in need of lubrication??

No its all good i mean come on this bike isnt but a year old I called a dirt bike shop and they said it could be the TPS
