I believe it. From the footage on the X-games it looks like he was landing it into his pit pretty consistantly. (Read: he would have made it had it been a real landing.)

If any of you guys have FUEL TV on this show M80 it show Travis double into his foam pit perfectely, he also has other spins but are not going to be on dirt for a long time to come I'm guessing. GO TRAVIS!!!

Yes, he landed the double back flip onto a dirt landing. It will be on Nitros3 from what I am getting from the homies on the street. Or was that mototalk?
Also, I know there are a lot of people who want to see him race. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that he will not be riding Vegas. And, if you think about it, he is doing the same things as Ricky, just in different ways. There may never be another person to land a double again. Ever. Meaning, that will make him the best at that ever. Another goat :

I am not a big freestyle fan, but I have to agree with ProAMA. While it woudl have been great to see Travis stick with racing, he is definitely advancing the sport in other ways.

Yep that's my thoughts exactly. TP is by far the best and most entertaining freestyle rider out there.

And best of all, he doesn't act like a friggin' roughneck hoodlum jerk all the time like some/most of the other freestylers out there. Watch Crusty Demons of Dirt if you don't know what I'm talking about.
