Default Top end rebuild and compression..

Does anyone know if stores and shops would rent out or of any places that would just let you borrow a compression tester? Also, if my top end does need a rebuild does the cyclinder have to be bored out or can it just be honed? Any input is cool

In some other threads around here on compression testers they mention that you can pick them up for something like $25, for that money you may as well buy one and you always got one then

125$ is like for a car and probly has multiple funtions. to fo a top end you do not need to get the cylinder bored. A quick hone job might be a good idea if you cant see the cross hatches and will help seat the rings better/faster.
pretty much any machine shop will do this for you
