Todays Race

Well today was the annual Hangover Hare Scramble at Budds Creek Motocross Park. I decided to race 4 stroke A. So, my bike decides not to start on the line...and im dead last. we run 3/4 of the motocross track before going into the woods, and by the time we hit the woods, i was in 3rd (of 24). The woods started out wet and fast, but turned in whoops VERY fast. Also, most of the mud and creek crossings became impassible by the end of the day, with re-routes and bikes stuck all over the place. So by lap 5 of 7, it was all about hanging on. So i ended up 2nd in 4st A and 18th overall. Not a bad day out i dont think

yeah like jstlearnin said, congrats! I was planning to head up to Budds Creek but unfortanutely I had bike problems. I hear Budds is having an MX race every weekend in February. My bike will definitely be ready by then so I'll be there. Tell me, is the MX track sweet?

Congrats man! Going from dead last to 3rd in 3/4 of a lap on a mx track in the A class is quite an accomplishment!

Yeah CR, the motocross track is awesome. Correction, i just checked the results online, i got 15th overall, not 18th

Rick, i changed my pilot jet from a 45 to a 42 because of the weather (45F and below) and the bike started awesome, but we had a freak weekend and the temperature was in the 70's, so i think that was the problem. I didnt have time to switch out the jets though. O well, at least i knew i wasnt running lean :

congrats for sure. that's sweet. And yeah, the lean low end would certainly make it hard to start (as I'm sure you know).

Yeah that was bad luck. We had snow and it was pretty chili later on and then just one weekend it was 70 degrees. How do you like the CRF?
