Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows, or knows where I could find out a good tire pressure to run? I know that necessary pressures will vary but Im not quite sure where to begin. I also weight about 190 lbs. if that matters.. I have a 2001 CR125 and on the rear tire it reads: Dunlop Sports K695 110/90-19 on the front it reads: Dunlop sports K490 G 80/100-21 51M Any advice welcome, Thank You

Depending on if you ride off-road, sand dunes, or Motocross it might be different. But the range is 10-15lbs.

Yep that's it. For off-road, I'd stay closer to the 15lbs mark.

i think of all things on the bike im most picky about the tire pressures. mx pressure would put me flat on the floor offroad!

Riding mostly sand down here, I generally run 12 in the front and 8-10 in the rear. HD tubes and rim locks. D'lop 773 front/756 rear on the YZ 250, Kenda Trackmaster II rear/ 777F DOT front on the DRZ 400. I run slightly more pressure in the DRZ's tires.

I am very picky too. The thing to remember about off-road motorcycle tires is that due to the low pressure (10-15lbs), even 1 lb is close to a 10% change, which when you look at it like that is quite a bit. The difference between 15lbs and 12lbs is huge percentage wise. So yeah, I'm picky too, and I always check my tire pressure before riding.

Another thing that yo have to consider is the sidewall of the tire, some of the tire have a stiff sidewall (Maxxis) & you need to adjust somewhat for that to get the proper "feel" I know that there is a huge difference between the Dunlop 756F front tire that I was running & the Maxxis I.T. that I put on the front of my Maico, I'm going back to a soft compound front tire! I just get a better feel from the front end. Last edited by Big Maico 393; 07-25-2008 at 04:06 PM.

Agreed completely on a good guage. All the ones I've found and own only go to 18 or so lbs, and accurace is key. I had one for a while that I used and my buddy with his digital one checked my tire pressure and I was running 18 or so, and my guage showed 14

I run 11lbs cold in the front and back, it seems to work pretty good.
