how much tire pressure do you normally run in a race, or for a parctice/normal ride?

10-15 lbs is generally what people shoot for, but for an exact number, it depends on the person.

What Garrett said.

The softer or muddier the track is the lower you run it. I would say 10-12.
For harder terrain and rocky stuff I would be 13+.. It all depends on personal preference and you can tell if you've put too much air in for the conditions and the front tyre may not track as well as it should

I'd agree with Geoff, try these and adjust them to suit your needs. The tire pressure will be a major factor in how well your suspension is working. When you are running the lower pressures for muddy conditions be sure your rim locks are installed correctly and properly torqued so the looser bead will not slip and rip out a valve stem.
