this sucks!

About two weeks ago i busted both of my wrists when i crashed over a jump.I was jumping a 30 or 40 foot step up jump and didn't get enough speed so i think i tryed seat bounceing it.that was a big mistake cuz my front tire dropped and i hit about a foot too low.my wrists slamed into the bars cousing some major pain. :zap I had to have pins put in my right wrist and have carpel tunnel release (think that's what its called.) luckly by bike didn't fair bad,just a busted gas cap

Man I'm sorry to hear about that! I like step ups because they are normally pretty safe. But, as we all know, you can get hurt anywhere when you are riding/racing. Here's to a quick recovery!

hey man i compount frac my left wrist on new yrs eve, wasnt pretty. It was a great day riding, we went out for a fwe more laps before we loaded up and sure enough my front end washed out of a berm and my bike pinned my wrist and elbow on the ground and broke it strait up. I WAS P.O.ED.. Anyways i had a really good doc who straightened it up and after a month i was back on my bike. I purchased a CTI wrist brace that did wonders for me. it let me move it only a certain amount of degrees each way so that i didnt over extend it. heres a pic if you dont know what im talking about.. Good luck and hope you heal up quick.

Sorry to hear!!! Make sure it's good and healed before you go ride again,I broke my wrist when I was younger And thought it would be ok to go play ride w/half cast on.Didn't know it but I moved the inplace fracture.And when I went to go get the real cast on he had to rebrake my wrist before he casted it OOUUUUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! Then he casted me up to my shoulder so I couldn't ride again.

I just got my wrist casted on Monday,I've ridden a little bit but it's not comfortable, only have to have it on for a month though.

Alex83 did you not read my post just above yours? It didn't even hurt to ride but when I went to the doc. I paid for it BIG TIME!!!!!!!!
