Hey guys, I thought I would tell the story of my very strange weekend. Well anyway, I have had my current 01 CR250 for the past 3 years and it has been alot of fun, but after riding a few 05 CRF-450s i decided I really wanted one. So last friday I bought one new, but I am not picking it up until this friday. So anyway on saturday I figured I would take my CR out for its last ride to raceway park in NJ. Well on my first lap of the day as I was getting warmed up, I went into a turn a bit fast and locked the front wheel up on this super slick mud. The front washed out and I slammed down on the ground landing on my right arm. So I jumped back up with the wind totally knocked out of me and gasped for about 30seconds. finally I started to breathe again but as I stood there I got lighted headed and just hit the deck. So the medics started looking me over and because of how I was breathing they thought I might have punctured a lung. So they insisted I go to the ER asap. Got strapped me to the backboard and took me for an ambulance ride to robert wood johnsons. When I got there, they xrayed me, etc... So anyway the damage was, blunt force trauma to the chest, 3 fractured ribs, and pulminalry contusions (brusied lung). Sounds bad, but I am ok for the most part. Just sore as hell and it hurts to laugh. I should be back riding again in a week or two. All and all, lucky I would say. While I was in the ER my GF got a couple of pics with my camera phone. weird, my last time every riding my CR and my first trip to the ER. Also a strange thing with my 450. I bought it in ohio, the prices for them in NJ are such that a drive to ohio to pick one up is well worth it. So i was going to ohio this weekend anyway for a wedding so I figured it would be dumb not to just get it now. So when I asked my GF where the hotel was and I mapquested it to the dealer it turns out to be only 1.4miles away. Thats crazy, in all of ohio I end up a mile away from the dealer, hahahahaha.

hey thanks guys. Redrider98, you know I never made it out onto the big track as I normally make few laps on the small track to get warmed up (which is where I crashed) However, my buddies said it was pretty bad, huge ruts and braking bumps. Good thing you did not go. From what my friend said, shorty after I crashed another rider did too and they had to shut down the track for a while since both of the ambulances were gone. So I guess I was "that guy" on saturday

Dang, ribs are NOOOO fun. Be careful with them though... I'm sure you've heard it before, but if you fall again on them it's possible for them to puncture your lung, so be careful on the new fo fiddy... They sure are nice.
