Default Stewart needs to hang it up this season

With another wreck this weekend, he needs to just give it up for now. He should hang his helmet up this season. The boy has mad skill but he needs to get his head together. He needs to not race anymore outdoor and come back for supercross. Thats my opinion.

I was really disapointed watching him today. I mean he crashed the minute carmichel got near him, once again. Then he gets back up and does one more lap, clearing all the jumps and showing off a bit. Then pulls off.

seriously, after today, i belive it. If he cant win, he wont ride.

Nah... Just having some growing pains. Come SX 2006 people will be back on the Bubba wagon again.

People gotta understand he's trying to run with the best rider in the world, Mr. Carmichael. An he's trying it with a 2 stroke. He may have been able to pull it off in the 125 class. The 250 class is a whole different ballgame.

Naw, I think Bubbles needs to finish out the season. Humililty is a good lesson to learn.

It'll be interesting to see how he does in SX this year.

i dont doubt he is at a bit of a disadvantage on the two stroke, but he did set the 3rd fastest lap time. Not to mention, all I would like to see from stuart is that he at least make an effort. He got back up and was riding around pulling whips, I dont know how hurt he could have been. Then after the one lap, he pulls off. thats the thing about stuart that annoys me, the fact that he constantly gives up. No he could not have caught the leader, but still, pulling off was rather lame IMO.

No I doubt it. He doesn't have the heart to be a champion. Seems he doesn't like to race if he can't win. That's not how champions think.

Yep, I happen to agree with you Jeff. He needs to change his way of thinking.

Man, it just disgusts me to see him quit a race, to give up.

This is not trying to flame anyone here but heres my take. In 2003 RC ran a 2stroke....won the outdoors ..no excuses. Yes, he lost some races but plugged away at it. JS needs to get his head straight and figure out that he's in a different class! Being patient is one of the hardest thing to do when your used to winning all the time. Stewart is frustrated and is realizing he has alot of competition now and is learning that RC is NOT going just give up because he is revving him. I just want to see these guys go at and battle (cleanly). Give him time.

BTW Congrats to Ryno on his finish today with only 3 days on a RMZ450. Good job

The boy can't accept losing. Sorry Bubba fan's but you know its true. He is really fast, but when it comes down to actually racing a series anymore he is worthless. I am really didappointed in him.

I'm glad Windham beat him in the first moto, Bubba is gonna find out Windham is a lot faster than he thinks.. And he may use his pathetic little "I need a 450" excuse but come on James, if your such a wonderboy than you should be able to beat Windham with your 2-stroke and stay with R/C without wrecking some miraculous way. Byrne (finally rode worth a dam today) was on the the same KX 250 and he took fourth, beating out all those other four strokes.

Sure someone will quote me on this and point out where I'm wrong. Well go ahead guys "quote em up!"

LOL I had to edit my MX Fantasy League pick after I saw this thread. I was going to go back and pick him for this past weekend, but I'm glad I didn't. He pulled out of a moto again, huh? : :

I don't like his give up attitude either. I mean, I've seen RC go down and get back up and ride like a madman and retake the lead. Why can't Stewart do that?

I haven't seen the race yet, but I think Bubbles really needs to re-access the situation and how he is reacting. I think 100% of Bubbles fans would rather see him finish outside the top 10 and cross the finish line, rather than pulling off when it suits him.

Congrats to Byrner on getting 4th aboard his "sub-standard" 250. If you look at the start pics of most outdoors this year he's the only one in control and getting away cleanly.
Those who stand behind Bubba when he says he needs bigger bike, I say wake up! LOL
I think most people would agree Bubbles is faster than Byrner and yet Byrner is posting better results. If he can't keep it on 2 on a 2, then he's going to struggle on the 4-banger. Bubbles must be aching when he remembers RC's perfect season aboard the CR250....

Bubba is just a plain old huge dissappointment. I don't know his reasons, it does not matter to me. He is NOT conducting himself like a true competitor. There is nothing I would like to see more than for Bubba to go out there and win. Will it ever happen? I don't know. At this point I would settle for him being competitive and at least look like he cares and is trying.

RC said it best.. QUOTE:"I feel bad for the guy because I know it's not fun to hit the mat that many times. I ate it quite a few times in '99. I think it boils down to patience. You've got to have patience. I can understand him challenging, and wanting to pass me right back, but I think sometimes you have to dissect the track, and wait for the right time."

I like watching Bubba ride, but I wish he would QUIT trying to take out RC! Ricky hears Bubba behind him, and instead of racing, he's bracing for impact! BS!!
and I agree blaming the 250 was just....sad.. if RC lined up with an rm250 he would still whoop him.

Regarless of what i think of any of the pro riders... Bubba better hurry up and do whatever he thinks he needs to do to beat a season out of Reed and RC. RC himself has stated hes not in the sport forever, he plans a couple more years and hes hanging up his boots. If Bubba is gonna wait around for RC to retire before he starts raceing...well what kind of win is that when the best of the best isnt there for the matchup?
