should i get this bike?

my neighbor is selling me a 2000 yz125 with 2005 front end on it for 900 dollars....im 5 foot 7 and i weigh 150 pounds, this is my first bike even though i have lots of experience riding them, i dont have a-lot of money to keep buying a new bike all the time so i have to get a bike that will last. my friend keeps telling me that when i hit the power band im going to fly off and the bike is too big for me and that just because its a 2 stroke its a piece of ****..which is some bull crap...2 strokes rule.....he keeps telling me that i should buy his pos ttr 125, which according to him is perfect (that bike has no power and the suspension is terrible)....so we keep having this big argument and i want to prove him wrong....POST YOUR OPINIONS...=)

Sounds like a good deal. For your size, the yz will be just about right. It's not going to fly you off the back LOL. The TTR, don't buy it. Get the 125.

get the YZ, then embarrass your friend on the ttr

by the way, I just sold my 2000 yz125 for $1500, so if the bike is clean its a deal for sure. the 2005 forks are a huge improvement over the 2000. I'm 5'9 140 pounds and that bike was perfect for me, the kid I sold it to was about 5'5 120 pounds and he rode it just fine.

For your size and the fact that you are just jumpping to a big bike,it is perfect.Dont buy the ttr as it is a big POS compared to the yz

The TTR would be good, if ya' got 2 of 'em....one for each foot.
