Default Seated jumping..

Ok, so I’m trying to re-develop (after many years) my jumping skills. If I hit the jump face standing, I am able to gain a neutral stance and maintain control if bike pitch while in the air. But, when I hit the face seated, I am always front wheel pitched high or low. I just cant seem to find the "Sweet spot."

Any advice, tricks, rules of thumb, etc. woulod be appreciated Or, is it simply about practice?

Thanks

I didn't find any other threads that were relevant. But PRACTICE is the main issue here. Hit the same jump over and over and over! You will get a feel for where you need to be on the bike while standing up. Gradually, you will get comfortable enough to try it sitting down. The sweet spot will come to you no problem. Throttle control is another variable that will explain itself to you with practice. There is simply no substitute for seat time.

Yeah. Thats what I figure, practice. I seat bounce pretty well also but true seated position is my problem. You see these guys on TV pulling way foreward prior to leaving the ground and then on the next jump, they are way back. Hmmm. When I was a kid, I did everything seated. I love standing though. It feels great after many years to find a bit of air agian.

Thanks a bunch.. everyone.
