Default Robbie Reynard update

ok here is an update..

Last weekend while racing a local race..(Robbie has been riding the 250f and the 450.) While in the 250f moto he was trying to pass for the lead and well there was a riding that was jacking around and brake checking him...Robbie not wanting to cause issues or take both of them out at a local race...he was using his skill of finding new lines. Well he went to the outside on a berm and was on slick dirt and the dumb butt in front of him cut high and tried to block him. Robbie's front end washed out and he fell....well as we know when RR falls he has luck much like one of our own here I will not name names, but he knows who he is.
Robbie messed his knee up badly. He was really mad and wanted to get back out there on the 450 and take it out on this other rider...well he tried, but he said as he would stand or sit on the bike his leg just felt like it would give away at anytime. He was pretty sure he tore his ACL and more then likely his MCL.
So on Monday he went to the orthopedics and the Doc thought his ACL felt tight, but with swelling they were not sure..but they thought the MCL had a lot of movement and that it would be the one torn or atleast partially torn. Well they were partially right He had his MRI and later that day they called and scheduled him the next day(tursday) for surgery to replace his ACL (which was completely torn) and told him that his MCL was still in tact, but very stretched with tears, but it should heal on its own with time and the brace. So he has had a very crazy week.
Plus he had mx schools that were canceled 2 weeks ago from all the rain re-scheduled for this weekend. The school in AR was canceled again since the track was sitting under water and then he was able to do the one in Oklahoma today.
he had some help from my dad and a few friends. Since he was not able to ride..the guys got a more one on one attention from Robbie. he would take time and talk with each of them while working on proper technique. So that was nice. of course it was hot and HUMID and Robbie got a little over heated as well as my poor dad..who was riding today
Everyone seemed to enjoy the school and my dad said everyone there really improved and learned a lot by the end of the day. Stay tuned for more schools from Robbie. He really enjoys them. Plus he is doing private lessons too.
So Robbie will NOT be riding any outdoors this year But he is planning on being ready to start the AX series in Nov.

** there u go Howard a nice LONG update. You know me never short on words it has just been a long few month or two for me and this coming Friday my son, Austin will have his tonsils and adnoids taken out i so i have a fun week coming up..NOT.
I will get working on the Cody update too it is a good one!

Bummer Cherie. Life is just an uphill battle more often than not. Being from Oklahoma, Robbie is one of the riders I keep up with so it's cool to have his sis post up here. Thank you.
I've been wondering about Cody and I'm looking forward to an update.

Man that is a bummer about Robbie. Man he is one TOUGH motor scooter I remember seeing many of his scar from racing. I think the school classes he is teaching is AWESOME. I'd bet that really takes off for him. I hope it become a leader in the industry.

I sure hope Robbie and your Dad will be coming to the race this year. I have heard so much about your Dad. I am looking forward to meeting him. Tell Robbie that I wish him the best. He is an AWESOME racer and one heck of a nice man.

Heal Quickly Robbie -

Really sorry to hear about Robbie, I hope he heals quick. That's great that he enjoys doing the schools so much, it must be rewarding to see riders practicing what you tell them to work on and then watching their speed and confidence levels go up!

Your Dad is the bomb - I really hope that he & Robbie can make it to Houston in October!

Good luck with Austin this week!! Do you have the ice cream ready?

Very sorry to hear the bad news. You know we are all pulling for a quik an full recovery. I tore my MCL at the dunes a while back and all is well now. So I am hoping for the same for Robbie. We sure can't wait to see him back in AX.

Go Robbie
