Riding with broken toes/fingers?

Default Riding with broken toes/fingers?

Have any of y'all attempted to ride with a broken toe or finger? I broke my toe 2 days ago while chasing after my neice and i came around the corner and the wall caught my pinky toe and **SNAP** Well anyways i have my boots on gettin ready to ride and im just tryin to find out what some of yall have done to make the ride enjoyable and pain-free! Thanks

you can't do much for broken toes. i've broken a few before. if you're going to ride with one, tape it up to the toe next to it. that should help.

It made me wince just thinking of fractured bone ends grinding back and forth inside your boot; but like Z said, there is not much that can be done for breaks like these. Taping it is what other athletes do. My guess is you will quickly find out which is superior . . . your sports taping skills or your pain threshhold.

i've had to ride with broken toes, it sucks. they're okay while riding but afterwards, man they hurt. i iced mine up real good before i rode, and i was good to go. taping it might help too, i haven't tried it though

Sorry to hear you broke your toe Mike.

I would just have to agree with Zack, and say tape it to the next toe. If you are just getting used to your new boots, or have a little bit of room near your sore toe, you can pack it with tissues. THis will soften the bumps.

I think that's the only advice I can provide.
Oh and Painkillers would help too.

The tapin it up should help,also yes on ice'n it up right before you ride.

LMAO Thanks guys! I RODE A FULL HARD RIDE! Didnt hurt the slightest bit to ride and i was tearing up the track like usual!

Geoff: I got red/white/black Alpinestar Tech 8's!!!!

I took 2 ibuprofen, some sports tape on the toes, and a hard time gettin my boots on but I pulled it off! Thanks guys
