Ride Report - Splendora 9/8 - Pics

We met up with mxmama & family, Prag & son, Sam & Miles, Wobbie, Mr Berg, and Mr Pringle on Saturday. Sorry to say I didn't take very many pictures, but I know Wobbie was out there with her camera quite a bit. Hopefully she'll get some posted up.

The track was PERFECT in the morning. Not the best I've seen it, but it was nice. Man, it felt good to ride there again. I had a great time riding with everyone. The best part was seeing popfuhre . Thanks for the burgers & dogs, Prag

Later in the afternoon we all went to Los Cucos for mexican food. Man, they have good food and they sure looked a little intimidated when the 20 of us walked in. BTW, Mr Berg... Happy Birthday.

We saw the biggest goon at the track today. Sure was fun to watch him though.

So I only really have half the report but I figured I'd start the thread and let everyone else chime in and add their own pictures here.

It was pretty hot out there yesterday, and the track got a bit rough. The entire straight away before the triple was like a whoop section (rough is an understatement), not to mention the face of it shot you pretty well out, but not up. So you had to hit the face pretty fast, barely clear the lip of the triple, then land really far down the face of the landing. I actually wasn't planning on hitting it due to track conditions, but I saw a couple other people do it and thought "Ah what the hell... I might as well." Not to mention Char standing next to me saying "Now you have to do it..." when we saw a kid on a 125 do it. I also managed to triple another section, though I don't have pictures and I'm not sure how to describe it...

After I was about ready to call it a day I decided to head out on the track once more to pound out some of the fastest laps of my life. I was throwing some flat whips, huge scrubs, railing the berms, and I even managed to throw in a heal clicker... all with perfect form might I add. Weapon of choice: a 1984 Yamaha XT200. Let me tell you, that baby will RUN! Buuuut I don't have any of those pictures. So Char's gonna have to post those.

Oh... and I put my visor down to look like Char. She pulls off the spode look so well.

Uhm... no you don't. You wanna know why? I was being sarcastic when I said huge air -- It was definitely a huge scrub... anybody can see that! Duh! I scrubbed so hard my tires didn't even leave the ground... AND I threw a no footer.

Fo sho... I'm talking to Sobe No Fear Samsung Honda right now... They think I might be faster on a factory bike, but I told them I might wanna hang on to that XT for supercross, and do some testing before the next nationals series to see if I wanna go the factory bike route.
