Default Ride Report

Well....Let me just say that my jaws actually still hurt from smiling so much.

It felt SOOO good to get back on a bike, I am way out of shape but that was expected. I think I smiled more today then I have in over a year.

The bike is just incredible, I definitly need to get some stiffer springs, but we got it tunned in as good as we could.

It was strange being leary of jumps that I have jumped literally hundreds of times, but I can say I did all of them today, maybe not consecutively but I did every one on the track except the new doubles, we will save those for when I can hang on a little better. Overall I am kinda proud of myself really, I really felt like a newbie out there when I first started riding, I was actually NERVOUS! lol.

You will see one pic below where my front end is a little high and I am hitting the rear brake....I literally jumped past the landing of that jump by 4 bike lengths, that hurt, but I sure as hell wasn't going to come up short.

There was one incident today, of course it happened when we were done riding and just screwing around, Jer and I were messing around riding wheelies in the yard, I looked back and he was on the ground, turns out we think he dislocated his shoulder. I don't know for sure yet, he is going to call when he gets home and gets to the hospital, he insisted on driving himself home so I am anxiously waiting for a phone call at this point.

Here are some pics, I will write more later I need to get a shower and get cleaned up.

Here is one of us all taking a break:

My first bigger jump in over a year:

One of Bill:

The one where I overshot:

Yeah, I actually froze for a second on that one lol. I left the face, knew I was going to far, and front high, and just kinda froze...then I woke up, jabbed the rear brake and prepared for one hell of a hit.

Thanks all, it really is great to be back. I have a long way to go but I will enjoy it every step.

Little update on Jer, He didn't dislocate it, he tore ligiments, not good. He is seeing a specialist tomorrow to see if he needs surgery to correct it.

good one Aus! I'm sure Jim took that as it was intended

It's kinda ironic isn't it? When one is focused and agressive and doing superdangerous things on a bike, and comes away unscathed. Then doing some no-brainer while 'goofing off' and get busted up.
It has happened to me more than once:
Hope your bud heals up quick.

What is this crap Aus???

I know I looked horrible lol, but dude, I was having a BLAST. I am so far off pace it isn't even funny, but like you said I can only go up from here lol.

I did have one incident yesterday, right after I did my first 60' double, (well like the 4th time in a row, I kept turning around and doing it lol.) I was coming up to everyone and decided that a stoppie would be a cool thing to do....well I guess I really wasn't paying close enough attention, my bike went to 90 degrees and just kinda hung there for a second, I wasn't sure if I was going over, or if I was just going to stay there, I went over.
