Default Remnants of Erin Almost Kept Us From Riding.

Erin hit you guys in south Texas pretty hard and I kept a check on it as it continued to the north. She woke me up this morning just before 3:00 and we had plans to be at our local track at daybreak. I checked the radar and it didn't look good. I went back to bed and left my alarm set for 5:00. Still raining. Around 9:00 rbm33 and I set out on a fact finding mission and found the following.

We waited all day and let the wind and sun dry things up a bit. It was still pretty nasty but we salvaged a good ride. Here are some pics. Sorry, they are all of me. rbm is nursing an extremely sore hip from last weekend and he geared down before I did. He grabbed the camera for a few pics. These are of the track only. We did several X-country laps but had to take many shortcuts due to the running water.

A little track prep and several laps made for a fairly decent ride.

Wow,even after a hurricaine your track looks nicer than pretty much anything we have up here!! We may have to take a trip down south the ride this winter(if budget allows) and try out some of those awesome local tracks I keep seeing on this site..I am soooooo jealous.

Shoot....... it takes more than a little tropical storm to keep Dave from riding. Cool pics. I am looking forward to seeing you and Clint at the race. Be careful and I hope Clint roosts you....... just a bit. It is always good when our kids roost us.

Cool pics Jedi! The rain skipped right over us and hit you guys. We are needing it now! Last month it was flooding and this month I have cracks all in my yard - gotta love Texas.
