Default Which rear tire?

Ok guys..its about that time....My CR's rear tire is getting pretty worn...I don't remember whats on it now but I'd like a bit better mud tire. My XR had an IRC M5B on it when I got it and that tire was PERFECT for the riding I do...it would chew up mud like everything..it was just AWESOME...but its a Soft Terrain(you can get intermediate terrain to but I want soft)and I am scared that my CR might chew up the ST tire to fast?? I used it for a long time on the XR but the CR spins ALOT more than the XR does and the rear tire takes alot more abuse...I was also looking at the Michehlin(sp?)S12 but not sure how it would be on tight eastern US trails and mud.

Basically I want a good trail tire that works great in mud but also does good on dry hardpack....the IRC really worked great in slick conditions but it handled great on the XR IMO even on dry hardpack ground...the Maxxis IT I have on the XR now SUCKS in mud. Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Either the

Dunlop 756 or the

Michelen M12

is what I like the best. Id take the m12 if you want it to last longer and the 756 if you want good grip! peacizzle!

i would try the maxxis tires. i think its the millvile tire. it runs great in hard and soft pack. my friend had one and it wore like iron. i would advise against the Dunlop 756. you would kill it in the hard stuff. the tire is so soft you can poke oles in it with your fingernails almost. JMO though.

M12 for sure. If it lasted a year on the back of Tyler's KX500 and still has knobs, it gets my vote! I know it spins more than your CR LOL

THANKS FOR THE SUPER FAST REPLIES GUYS....I just went out and looked and my CR has a Dunlop D756 on it right now.

Looks like I might end up with the M12....is this a good MUD TIRE as well?

Keeto....I think the tire on his 500 spins ALL THE TIME:

Yep, I can tell you first hand because have been on the receiving end of it!

As far as the M12 being good in mud - there are better tires for mud but they don't last long in int. or hard terrain. That's the price you pay whenever you specialize something and then take it out of it's environment.

Yeah Keeto your right...I mean the IRC M5B lasted a long time on the XR even when riding on hard terrain alot to...but the CR is just so much harder on tires. Right now I am leaning towards the M12.

M or S 12 would be a good tire. I would guess the S 12 would be better in the mudd though.
