go to motocross outlet my buddy got a 350 fox helmet for 150. you cant put a price tag on your head. spend the money on a good one from a respected manufaturer fox, thor, shoei, bell. they might just keep you out of the hospital

Uhh, I am of the opinion that there is no good helmet other than a Shoei or Arai. I wore a $400 TLD helmet and during a crash the chin bar collapsed, breaking my left cheekbone free from my skull and my left upper jaw free from that. I now have multiple plates and screws holding the left side of my face and jaw together as a result. I went with Shoei for the simple fact that they specifically pay attention to chin bar strength and protection. The Arai does as well, but i think they sit too close to the face.

That must have been a pretty nasty accident in order to collapse the chin bar.

I swapped off the face of a jump and was hit while I was on the ground. I was unconscious for 5 minutes then got up and walked off the track. I went home, drank a few beers, went to dinner and a movie with the wife and some friends and was finally forced to go to the doctor two days later by my wife when the swelling in my face didn't go down. I received three plates to hold my cheek in place, three plates to hold my upper jaw to my cheek and pallette, and one large plate inside my eye socket under my eye to hold my orbital socket together.
