Default Pulling the trigger on my next bike

Going up to Seattle WA this weekend to pick up my next project bike.
Itís a 1984 Yamaha RZ-350. Currently it is in about a BAZILLION pieces. The previous owner tore it down about 5-6 years ago with the intension of rebuilding. But... he started another project (rebuilding his 1948 piper cub airplane).
When he said, on facebook, that he lost interest in his RZ I messaged him within seconds and sealed the deal on the vintage Yamaha.

As the rebuild goes on Iíll post pictures of the progress.

This is the current color scheme that is on the bike. (remember, itís in parts and IN NEED of restoration)

I wish it was in this condition.

Iím thinking about doing something like this (remember, Iím a vintage Yamaha guy)

My friend has the red/white combo. The one you posted looks like it's twin. Go for the yellow!

O.K. boys and girls, here it is. All (most, some bolts & nuts are missing) the bits and pieces are now home.
If Iím going to do this project I plan on doing it right. That means Iíll be taking my time.
But when itís done... WOOO HOOO!

Let the fun begin.

Very nice, gotta love a good project!
I love any old 2 stroke, actually almost got one last year but decided to go the Honda route instead. It's always a little bit more special to ride a bike that you've restored yourself. Looks like it's all there from where I'm sitting. Good luck with the build!

Funny, I have a friend with that exact bike.
Also, one is for sale on Craigslist here, Winston-Salem nc, $6000

Btw-back in '85 my friend let me ride his.
Ever had a front wheel wobble at 130?
Made me pucker.
