Guys,

First off thank you for all your prayers & well wishes !

A few corrections, no thoracic fracture, but a refracture of L2.

A fractured rib on my left side.

A bruised pancreas.

I’m now in a nursing home/ rehab facility & after 22 day’s in bed I’m as week-as can be.

Just trying to do 3 sets of 20 leg lifts with my good leg is kicking my but big time.

After dong 10 of 20 hip lifts in a set I was in a cold sweat & my heart rate was pounding.

All my muscles have atrophied & I’ve lost a good deal of weight.

But I will get back in shape when I can put weight on my ankle approx 90 day.

Hang in there Howard. Keep fighting the weakness. I was in the old home/rehab also, and as bad off as I was, I was still in better shape than a lot of the residents there. You aren’t ready for the rocking chair yet keep that desire and know you have lots more left to do outside those walls. Use those surroundings as inspiration to get up and GO!
praying for ya big guy.

Good news!

Looks like Iíll be going home in a few days!

This is a huge step in the right direction.

Physical therapy will come to the house 3 times a week to continue my recovery.

Still have a ways to go, but I WILL get there!

Gang,

Finally going home after 34 days, Iím happy as Iíll be able to sleep in my own bed.

Still hava long ways to go but this is a big step in the right direction.

Going to have physical therapy at home 3 times a week.

Now itís time to get some of my muscle mass back.
