Default Prayer for my brother

Hi everyone. My brother was just in a streetbike accident on the interstate in which he thinks he cracked some ribs. His shoulder was also hurting a bit also. He doesn't have a road rash as he was wearing appropriate riding gear, but he is spitting up small amounts of blood. We are taking him to the ER now. I will let you all know how it goes as soon as we know whats happened. Please pray for us.

Good news everyone! We just got the x-rays back and nothing is broken or cracked. His ribs are very bruised but we are just thankful that nothing was hurt too badly. He was spitting up a fair amount of blood earlier, but that seems to have subsided somewhat. He is just going in for a CT scan as the doctors noticed a cloudy spot on one of his lungs. His shoulder was also hurt, and he can't lift his arm at all. The x-rays showed that no bones were broken up there, but it could still be something like a torn rotater cuff. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and I would ask that you keep them coming. Thanks for all the moral support everyone! BTW the bike was totaled

Well, he is back home now and we have very, very good news. He walked away from a totaled bike with nothing more than some very bad bruises. The reason he thought that his ribs were cracked was because right after he wrecked, he could hardly breathe and he was spitting up blood. Also, earlier I said that he was on the interstate, but I had bad information as he was on a small blacktop. He has his arm in a sling, and he still can't lift his arm at all because of a badly bruised shoulder, but he can breathe normally now. He said that after he flew off of the bike, he came about a foot from hitting a tree head on. He went into a ditch doing probably about 40 MPH, and came off the bike which ended up hitting a tree. If he would have stayed on the bike, or if he would have hit the tree, he could have been very seriously injured if not killed. God was incredibly merciful in this incident, and we give all the credit to him that my bro was not injured at all. The bike, fortunately, was fully covered by insurance, so we won't have to mess with that (it was a friends bike). As mentioned earlier, the power of prayer is incredibly powerful, and I would like to thank everyone for their prayers. You all are a great community and look out for everyone (even noobs like me ) and treat them like family. Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for letting us know he's ok.

Did they elaborate on the rotator cuff injury?

I am pretty sure that any damage there will be pretty painful and will limit the use of that arm greatly for a could month or 2.

There was no injury to anything at all. The rotator cuff was fine, and he was just bruised badly. It was definitely the coughing of blood that made him decide to go to the ER. He bruised his one of his lungs slightly, but there is no permanent damage. I think that this threw a scare into us all, and made us think about what it would be like with one of us gone. Very scary to think about. The bike can definitely be replaced, but my brother - never. Thanks again everyone.
