To break it down, it means you will always have your fellow Marines backs and they'll do the same no matter what. But obviously always being faithful can have other meaning in everyday civilian life...

I believe this is one of the paramount challenges we face as humans - taking the knowledge we gain, learn and receive and processing this knowledge internally so that it may surface and be applied properly and become wisdom.
