Talking Our P-51 Mustangs

My grand-son and I will be putting these babys in the air in a few weeks. Maybe as soon as this next tuesday.

When I get the pictures of him flying with his "Flight Trainer", I'll post them up too. Until then, here's our fighter wing of P-51 Mustangs.

Luke's plane has the pilot in the cockpit.

The power plant. A .46 ci Evolution 2-stroke with an OS max muffler.

Grand-pa's P-51.

Power plant; .46 ci OS max with an aftermarket tuned pipe.

I hope they both come back to the ground in one piece.

The last about 5-8 minutes on a full tank. More then enough to make a person dizzy.

Do they crash much??? Yes!

you need to contact Texas Twister, Robbie's husband. He is very into these. Also he lost some fingers with one also. So be careful bro.

I have to agree with Main, Great choice in planes. The P51 stangs were awesome in their time and even cooler now! What a blast.

There is a dry lake out near Barstow at the base of the Calico mine. The guys go out there and do some unbelievable stunts with these planes. I would be afraid of munching one. I flew a RC glider a couple of times and the reverse mind set you have to remember when the thing is flying at you was difficult, and that was on a slow glider. These puppies look like they could make some speed, which would exacerbate my problem.
Have fun. Hope to see some pics of them in their element.

Yep, like Macho said, watch your fingers!!

If you need anything let Clayton know, he is selling/buying RC full time right now. He makes good money doing his favorite hobby and can be home with the kids during the summer.

Your making memories their Boyd, have fun!!
