Default OT - Yardpro your pm box is full - Read inside of post for question

Yardpro your mbox is full . Here is what I was pming you.

Great answer!
Where can I get a 10-10-10. Home depot didn't have any. All they have is Scotts starter fertilizer that starts with a 20 (I can't remember the other numbers) Any suggestions as to where to pick it up. Another question for you. Since I will be laying on Sept 27......Should I wait until spring to fertilize again? as 3 months would be the middle of winter?

i'll empty my box. the 20-?-? will work also. the main thing is to not get slow release.
for your application i would not get scotts. it is really overrated fertilizer. any hardware store, or nursery should have the 10-10-10. just use the formula i sent you on the pm. is the the 1st # is 20 then it's 20% nitrogen, 20lbs per 100lbs of fertilizer. that means to get your 1/2 lbN/1000sqft you will need 2.5pounds fertalizer per 1000sqft.

since your planting date is late do the initial nitrogen app. then in the 3 months put out potash (potassium). the potash helps the roots grow. it is the last # on the bag. 0-0-60 or something like that is fine it could be 5-5-25, or anything else with high last # and low 1st two. if you are on a steep hillside or are adjacent to a a water supply try and get the 0-0-whatever. this will help avoid nitrogen runoff. then as your gorung temps get up near the 50's apply the nitrogen at the 1/2 #/1Ksqft

see, this one was shorter as promised

looks great. verry cool that the sod came in 1 yard rolls. much easier to lay. some farm cut them in 1/3 yard sruares. harder to handle and more seams.

i love the "insta-yard"

nice color and texture
