Default OT: it's dead!

Well you know how everyone here likes ?

I just found out that the problems that I've been having with my Canon film Rebel are not of my own doing, but a little rubber guide that cushions the shutter,it's broken down & turned into goo!

I asked the camera repair guy about it & he said that he could clean it for $35, but that's only a temporary fix & it might work for a little while. the proper fix is $135 He said that you can buy a new body for that!

So the old Canon is dead. now I just have to start saving for a new digital body for all my lenses & flash.

What really makes me made is that I missed getting some really good shots because of the stuck shutter

That would pretty much burn me up too, H!
At least you know what the problem is and can move on from there. It's a shame our digi-cams won't last forever. I'm more willing to spend money on my bike than my camera.

Doc:

If the body on your's is good, that's all I need. I can just move my lenses & flash over & should have a working camera until I can save up for the digital body.

Thanks I owe you one!

Your not going to miss out on the shots so much as just making all those shots one nice blurry one.

Hey Big M...sorry I didn't call you back. Unfortunately I don't know squat about film cameras. Sorry it is busted!
