Default old.....TS185 jetting and other problems?

hey guys, i recently got a 1973 or 74 ts185 and have a few minor problems maybe you could help me with...

First, going up the road i can run the bike w/ choke or no choke and will run fine...It will idle fine(in a way) with choke on but will idle higher and higher un till i kill it ........with the choke off it wont idle at all.

Now, puttsin around,(w/ choke)off idle in 1st gear it will just not do anything(like no gas at all) I have to give it almost 1/2 throttle for it to rev out....with choke off it will run(OK) maybe? but then wont idle......The plug looks really rich even if i leave the choke off............

It is the mukuni round slide carb.
I cleaned and recleaned the carb. Could it be im not mixing the oil right or bad gas?????

Im also thinking of selling it so i can get some $$$$$.
Sory for the long post
Thanks ALOT

i am running 32ish:1 but its boat outboard oil, i also ran like ACE weed wacker oil....Never got around to getting good oil

The spark is not the best but is still blue....The other day i got it to run backwards.....: didnt run good but ran weird.....anyways it has the setup w/ 2 plugs on the head and the one runs better than the other even when there both brand new....

Thanks

carbs get gummed up,, clean it throughly,,, and maybe even replace the jets and air and idle screws, , they are suseptable to corrosion over the years and may not actually be metering the air and fuel as was originally intended.
