I have been looking forward to this race for the last 6 months and I was not disappointed! This is a NATIONAL and after 36.5 miles of rocks, single track, rocks, whoops and more rocks I am feeling it this morning. Hats off to the 2 loop finishers (80 miles). I crashed pretty good at HBMC so I opted for 1 loop and my goal was to just finish no matter what I placed. I pretty much did horrible as far as class and overall finish (66th) but after seeing at least 20 people riding back to the pits after check 1 with a DNF this made me feel pretty fortunate that I got the checkered flag. This was a brutal course but it was so much fun I kept saying to myself as I was getting closer to the finish....."Just give me 5 more miles"
