New track and lots of fun - Pics

I tried a new track this weekend. Thunder Hill Speedway north of Topeka has long been known for its dirt track racing. But until recently, I was unaware they had gotten into MX so I thought I would give their track a try. The experience was much better than the last track I visited. This one was very spread out with lots of very high table tops, six to eight in fact, and several nice step-ups, most of which, I had cleared by the end of the day. One section was more SX style with jump faces that were more like cliff faces and very deep. This area was set up so that it could be by-passed though, which was good for me. While I have jumped many a country road or creek in my youth, all I have done in recent years is trail ride. Ill get to that section soon enough. For me, at my age, it really isn’t about being fast. Its about being technical and the jumps have always made me feel that way. My wife and daughters showed up at one point to watch. This was a nice surprise, indeed.

Anyway, it is only $10 to practice and for that price, Ill be spending a lot of time there.

Looks like you had a blast man, that's awesome. 10 bucks sure aint bad either. The tracks around me are all 20 bucks. Which is why I ride the practice track at the OHV, as it only costs 5 bucks to get in there. I'd love to ride a bit of a bigger track with some larger jumps like that one for only 10 bucks.
