I was a huge Reed fan a few years back, but last year I thought Reed was using too many excuses and blaming everything and everyone but himself if he had an off night. The guy is so smooth and has amazing ability but seemed frustrated. AND THEN, Toronto SX 2006 happens. WOW. He looked good on the track, yes James was faster but when Reed got passed by a seemingly over aggressive Stewart, Reed really dug deep and rode with purpose. The back and forth battle with CR and JS was some of the best racing I've seen. Good Job Reedy. I was also impressed with his interview, is this new attitude here to stay or was it just because he was standing on top of the podium. I hope he is for real, it's so much more impressive than the "poor me" display from last year.

I think its a new reed, he was shocked to be in first you could tell by his reactions. He deff had a huge smile on his face. I do not even know if he was pushin his hardest till js got rad up on him, he realized time to turn it on. That was deff a good battle, and the wreck up the finish line was all bubbas fault, if you watch it he was spinning up the finish coming into bubbas line.

My buddy that does testing for Reed said he has been practicing much harder than last year and 3-4 days a week instead of 2 days a week like last year. They have the bike with better suspension setting than last year too. They still have a little bit of work to do with the suspension to get it exactly like Reed wants it. It's odd when he tells me that these microscopic changes in the valving make such a difference to a pro caliber rider. He said Reed can tell the difference in tire inflation all the way down to 1/4 pound....just amazing.

he said that it was because of him spending so much time in australia( in the raxerx film:[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and on TV). maybe his problem was not related to the sport the last few years, becuase he has been fast. maybe all he needed was some time with the family to see the purpose of life is to enjoy it while we are still here, and spend time with the people you love, beucase he semmed really unhappy a lot last season( judging from tv interviews).
