Default Glen Helen

Hey Andy (ossagp), good to hear from you. Can you send us some Alaska ice and snow. LOL

Got some news on glen helen from another site.

Thought you might like to pass this on, Ron called me at 3pm and said that they had worked their butts off and had saved Glen Helen Raceway. The water system suffered some pipe damage and the hills are cooked but everything has been saved. I do not know the status of the White Brothers Vet National yet but I am sure Lori or Tom will release information on Monday. It sounds like it will be on though; REM should be racing in 2 weeks.

Have 3 friends in the glen helen area who all were evacuated. all 3 did not lose their homes, however 2 of them had homes 2 doors away that burnt to the ground. Will visit them today to see what I can do & help.
Will update on Tuesday.

Josh and I were calling all of our friends and families last night and it appears that everyone is okay. Some people from Josh's work were evacuated but they did not lose their homes. I can't even imagine losing your house. My thoughts are with all of the people that have lost their homes.

Glad that you are safe Mainjet and Dirtbikedad!

I just got off the phone & all my relitives in the Chatsworth/Northridge area are safe for now!

The olny problem is that they have

9-Adults.

4- Grand Kids.

5-Dog's in one at the same time!

Reports of lost of smoke, But I couldn't tell if the smoke was from the fire or the fried nerves!

As always my prayers are with all of you in harm way!

Hey Mainjet, where you at in HB? I used to live off of Garfield and Magnolia. Yeah the fires are pretty bad, I was up at Chaparral on Saturday picking up my bike and the ash was falling pretty bad. By the time I got back to Mission Viejo bike was dirty as hell. Fires' nowhere close to being contained. Not looking good.

Zoo's mom got evacuated earlier today but it looks like everything is back to normal for now. We had some "ash snow" earlier today and that has cleared up too.

If you make it down this way blue let us know.

btw- thanks for the phone call buddy. It was great to hear your voice and know that you were okay. Prayers for your families continued safety.

napalm417....
Ha...4 blocks away. Bushard & Yorktown.

All my friends in the devore area are O.K. they lost their electricity though but I think they got it back. If not we will get some generators to them today.

If the fire gets into the dead trees (bark beetle) on the top of the mountains it might go clear to Big Bear and on to Pioneer Town depending on the wind. At this point the wind is the key. It's an ugly picture.

Again the area from devore south to Big Bear is the area we ride a lot, I know it well and it just makes me very sad

Keep praying gang.

Default cedar fire

The Paradise fire came within a 1/2 mile of the house. But, before I could get home from riding out at Corral Canyon, I ran into the Cedar fire on the 15....:

My prayers are still with you guys. Here is a shot that was taken by NASA and it shows how widespread the fire is. It was taken Sunday when it wasn't as bad as it is now! Hang in there guys!
