Need nelp with school project. Mx Physics

I have a project due April 2nd. I have to due the physics on motocross and I need some ideas on what I could do as a demonstration. I was thinking doing forces on big jumps vs small jumps.

Bring your bike to school and build a track on the football field...j/k You could do a power point demo on how the rear wheel spinning affects the machine's attitude off of jump faces...i.e throttle on..front wheel gets high...throttle off/tap back brake...front wheel drops...

Is this an assigned project or something you chose? If it's something you chose on your own, don't count out the possibility of changing your project. Part of a successful project is in choosing the right one in the first place. Even skateboarding would be easier than MX. You could certainly figure the coefficient of friction easier. Just something to think about.

MX is ALL about physics. One thing you could right 2 pages on easy is pre loading. Another is staying in a turn. Another is weight distribution (starts.) I believe one of the members sons on here did a project on coolants. You could do a project on lubricants perhaps. Or braking which is stopping/slowing mass. Horsepower is nothing but physics either. Or how about the force exerted when landing short or landing perfect, or the force of taking off vs. the force of landing. Many people would think landing would be the rougher of the two but you'd be surprised. Adjusting your pitch in the air is nothing but physics too... Or how about recovering from a whip/scrub. Youd think once a bike is turned sideways you couldnt be able to bring it back. Lots of friction in MX with the suspension, breaks, motor, bearings etc. Just a few ideas I think doing a physics project on MX is an excellent idea. How many times do you get caught up in conversation with people that arent involved and they say 'wow, i have no idea how they do that backflip, thats nuts. It's breaking the laws of physics' etc. etc.

LOL! im doing a MX project in my physics class, im going to calculate the amount of speed, the angle of the jump, some other things to figure out how to jump a certain jump at my local track
