thats ok that you can't help. like I said before not everyone here knows everything LOL. anyway. yes I have rode it. I have been ridding it ever since i got it and I love it, even though it has just about threw me off a couple of times. I need to remember not to turn the wheel when the power band kick in (you know like going around a sharp curve). anyway I do wear a helmet when I ride. I can't afford a manual, or shop lookover right now. I am laid off. I am suppose to go back to work monday. I got laid off cause lack of work.

Buffy,

Most spark plugs are pre-gapped. Since you just got the bike and the plug is probably old, I'd just go down and get a new one. The shop/dealer should be able to look up the correct plug for you.

But............

I did a quick search for a 2000 CR80 spark plug and pulled up a NGK Spark Plug BR10EG
and a NGK Spark Plug Iridium BR10EIX.

I just eyeball it, or compare it to another. I have a gapper, but when i cant find it i just use a knife. Works fine as long as its in the ballpark.

ok so you don't really use a gapper. How do you know when you have it right then?

ok but I don't know the gap size, and I have nothing to compare the plug with to eyeball it.

From the NGK website:

It uses an NGK BR10EG gapped at .024

The NGK website has plug applications and specs for almost any motorcycle ever built.
