My English Project

For my English class, we have to write a poem and present it in front of the class an teacher. The poem has to be in a very difficult format. Here is what I have after working on it for awile. I am open for suggestions but the poem has to maintain the same rhyme scheme....And I will be wearing a Division 4 shirt when I present lol....Riding can even make poetry bearable...


Quad Riding

I ride my quad all day and night
Sleeping or awake
It is always in my sight.

Do I know that it is right?
Yes it is what keeps my sake
It is always in my sight.

From cops and neighbors I get spite
But I will still ride and they will listen to my quake-
I ride my quad all day and night.

Off jumps I achieve flight
I would not want to sink into a lake
It is always in my sight.

The headlights are very bright
and the moonlight shines deceivingly fake
I ride my quad all day and night

Roosts and cookies put me in the spotlight.
In January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, and May
I ride my quad all day and night
It is always in my sight.

I woke up today not knowing a thing,
but wondering what that day might bring;
As the day went on I knew one thing,
that the day would be better with one little sing;

The sound of a note that most bikes dont achieve;
The sound of motor that will make you believe.
I hopped in my truck and down to the track,
All hyper as heck like I was on crack.

I got to the track, and unloaded the machine;
Feeling like superman because my gear was actually clean.
What is up next to make me be a cripple;
A berm, double, or maybe a triple.

My fear set in until I heard that sound;
for miles and miles and miles around.
I felt sorry for that poor sap;
